At number 36 in my list of favorite Pokémon we see the mighty Mightyena. Although, mighty... I'll get back to you on that later. The reason that Mightyena is in this list, is because it looks awesome! Its dark features (black fur, grey body, marks beneath its eyes and a vicious look) fit its dark-type perfectly and its skinny and streamlined body makes it look like a fast and unbeatable hyena. Actually, Mightyena looks like a cross between a hyena, a wolf and a hound used for nightly hunting. Yeah, nightly, that would be the best camouflage for Mightyena. It's just a cool Pokémon altogether and definitely one of the best ones from the third generation. Speaking of that, Mightyena is not quite one of the best Pokémon to use in the video games. Its attack is good, but the rest of its stats are a little average, not to say bad. Its special attack stat shouldn't be used and its defenses are quite bad, although it should be capable of taking a normally effective or not effective hit. Mightyena's speed is a bit better, just to back up its high attack stat, but it is still not that fast, despite it looking quite speedy. I never used it in-game, but I always caught a Poochyena (I accidentally knocked out a shiny one once, which made me hate Poochyena a little) and evolved it into Mightyena just to possess one. I never really knew its fur never covered its whole back, though. There are two wisps of fur starting on its head, while the middle of its back is bare, as you can see in the images below. Curious.
