In 2010, Gamefreak introduced some very weird Pokémon indeed. We now have ice cream cones (Vanillite, Vanillish and Vanilluxe), those weird Munna and Musharna thingies, gears (well, we had magnets before, so that shouldn't be so bad), and unfortunately also Pokémon that look like common trash bags (Trubbish and Garbodor). Among one of the strangest things in the fifth generation is probably the Litwick evolution line. Starting with being a candle, Litwick evolves into some kind of oil lamp (Lampent) and eventually into Chandelure by using a Dusk Stone. And yes, it is indeed a chandelier, precisely as its name suggests. Most chandeliers in real life are pretty and elegant crystal things, whereas Chandelure is not. However, it does strongly resemble an old-fashioned chandelier and somehow I like that about this Pokémon. It's dangling in mid-air, probably using the flame on it's 'head'. Chandelure looks actually very ghoulish, which it does because it's probably based on some old chandelier from some old haunted mansion. According to Litwick being a creepy live candle and Lampent being an oil lamp of some sort, I think it's safe to say so. Besides, Chandelure is one of the strongest Pokémon in Pokémon Black and White special attack-wise. That is to say, it is the strongest aside from some legendary Pokémon (Reshiram, White Kyurem and the Therian Form of Thundurus). Not bad! And Litwick are very common in Celestial Tower, so it's easy to get yourself a Chandelure. It isn't speedy, though, but it's also not that slow, either. Besides, Chandelure is quite capable of taking a hit, but its typing (ghost/fire) comes with no less than five weaknesses. Aside from that, Chandelure is a great Pokémon to use in-game, and should you consider adding one to your team, I'd definitely recommend it. By the way, do you like Pokémon fan art so much, too? Some people manage to make Chandelure even creepier than it already was! (See image below; click on it to enlarge it, or drag it to another tab.)
